Events
We are able to offer workshops for community events across the East of England and our shows can go much further. We can adapt to many different types of event and have provided workshops and shows in venues such as shopping centres, festivals, open gardens and village halls. Please be aware most of our shows cannot be performed outside, but there are options available. If you are interested in shows, please visit our touring page. See below for more information about workshops.
Workshops
Community event workshops tend to be of a drop-in nature, where participants can just turn up, make something, and take it away with them. There are all sorts of options for this, from simple 2D puppets, to finger puppets, to masks, to full rod puppets. We can also tailor our events to specific themes. It is very important that we understand the nature of the event so that we can plan the most appropriate workshop for the setting. For example, we can only make the more advanced types of puppet with access to a power source.
The cost of these drop-in workshops varies depending on several factors, including predicted number of participants, time required, types of puppet made etc. In some cases we can offer the workshop to participants for free, if our costs are covered by the event organisers. Otherwise we can charge a small fee to each participant.
There are infinite options, so please contact our team to discuss. Email is best workshops@puppettheatre.co.uk
